  10. Thank you for purchasing "YELLOWS PRIVACY". Instructions not mentioned within the manual are included here in this Read Me. Please be sure to read these instructions in order to fully enjoy this product.

  23. ====== SYSTEM EXTENSION INSTALLATION
  24.  
  25. "QuickTime 2.0" is included within the 'to your System' folder in the CD-ROM. Install these by dragging to your systems folder, and restart your Macintosh. 
  26. If using a PowerMacintosh, please also install QuickTime PowerPlug.
  27. (You must restart your system in order to activate these files.)

  29. ====== SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  30.  
  31. Macintosh 68030 CPU or above (above 68040 suggested), System 7 or above, at least 5MB available memory, 13 inch color monitor, a system capable of displaying 16bit color (32,000 colors) or above, double speed CD-ROM drive, QuickTime 2.0 (QuickTime PowerPlug required for use with PowerMacintosh)

  33. ====== NOTICE

  35. * "YELLOWS PRIVACY" is designed for use with a 13 inch color monitor. If you are using a monitor other than 13 inches (640 x 480 pixels), there maybe a problem in displaying, or you may not be able to display at all.

  37. * "YELLOWS PRIVACY" uses 24 bit color data, requiring an environment where 32,000 colors (16 bit) display is capable. (In order for full-color display, a 24 bit color board or a supportable system is required.)
  38.  
  39. * "YELLOWS PRIVACY" uses QuickTime JPEG for screen compression, and therefore requires QuickTime (ver. 2.0 or above) to be installed. If you do not already have QuickTime 2.0 installed, please install QuickTime 2.0 included. If using a PowerMacintosh, please also install QuickTime PowerPlug.

  41. * 5MB of memory is allocated to the YELLOWS PRIVACY program. Please have 5MB of memory availabe to run this program properly.

  43. * This program may not run properly if there is an unnecessary INIT or extension within the systems folder.

  45. * If using "System 7" or above, please turn your virtual memory off and turn 32 bit addressing on.

  47. * If using a PowerMacintosh, turn off the Modern Memory Manager.

  49. * Please be sure to double click the icon when starting. ( Starting by any oher method may cause the program to not run properly. )

  51. ====== "YELLOWS PRIVACY" OPERATIONS
  52.  
  53. "YELLOWS PRIVACY" consists of the following five modes: GOMI'S SELECTION, SUGGESTED ORDER MOVIE, TATAMI INDEX, FETISH INDEX, and PRIVACY INDEX.
  54.  
  55. * In all modes other than TATAMI INDEX, ONLINE HELP can be viewed at any time. The pointer (cursor) will become a HELP pointer by dragging it to the bottom left of the desktop. Click on that position, and ONLINE HELP of the displayed MODE will be shown. ONLINE HELP can be shown in either Japanese or English by clicking on the bottom right (JAPANESE/ENGLISH) button. The ONLINE HELP window will close by either moving the pointer outside the ONLINE HELP window, or by clicking on the close box in the top left of the window.

  82. "A collection mode of photographs selected monochrome processed by the photographer, Akira Gomi himself. The SUGGESTED ORDER SYSTEM offers a new impression each time one views the photographs."

  86. << SUGGESTED ORDER MOVIE>> operations

  88. "A viewing mode to automatically see all included works for each character.
  89. This slide show, however, is compiled differently each time within that group, and shown in a different order. The collection always remains fresh, and gives a new impression each time one views the photographs."

  93. << TATAMI INDEX>>  operations

  95. " This is a mode typical to an electronic environment, exceeding existing editing techniques. By viewing from above, the collection of a few thousand photographs as if they are spread across an entire room, one gets a totally new impression of viewing."

  97. All of the more than 2,000 images included in this CD-ROM can be displayed at once,enabling direct access to any desired image.

  99. * Icons for 192 photographs are shown within the TATAMI INDEX, and by moving the pointer (cursor) to the top, bottom, left, right, and four corners, the entire screen can be scrolled to display icons of other photographs. 
  100. * Press the 'option' key to change the photo icon display order at random.
  101. * Press the 'tab' key to change the photo icon display size.
  102. * Click on an icon of a desired photograph, for a full-sized display of that photograph.
  103. * Click on a full sized photograph to display other photographs of that girl one after another.
  104. * Drag the pointer to the top, bottom, left, or right of a full-sized display to return to the TATAMI INDEX. 
  105. * Click on the MENU icon to shift to the MAIN MENU.
  106. * Click on the HELP icon to display a HELP menu.

  115. << FETISH MODE>> operations

  117. "A photo collection mode where one investigates through items, rooms, and characters. By searching through colors and shapes, as well as through one's sense of life, the viewer may find reaching a character totally different from the expected impression."

  119. * There are altogether 27 "objects", in which an object can be selected in the browser.
  120. * There are 10~24 items to each of the selected "objects", and by selecting one of the objects in the browser, a short movie of a person the seleced object belongs to will be displayed.
  121. * By clicking the [Little Story] button, comments on their "objects" or about her life style will be displayed. You may forward the comment by clicking the text shown.

  127. << PRIVACY INDEX>> operations

  129. "This mode enables verification of life style by character and by each scene. A collection of recorded photographs of the living space and taste of each of the 25 characters will be displayed."

  131. * Select any desired girl from the 25 models, and view images of her.
  132. *Click on the center of the browser to start a movie (full size) from a selected photograph.
  133. * An interview (comments) of the girl shown can be displayed by clicking on the TEXT button. 
  134. * By pressing on the 'tab' key or by clicking on the image while in full size display, a browser will be displayed in the bottom right, and will enable image browsing (forwarding and rewinding view). 
  135. Click on the center of the browser to move directly to that image, and click on OTHER SCENE in the bottom of the browser to call a browser of a different scene.
